IBISCHK7 parser development:
Bob Ross reported that a vote will be taken in the next Open Forum meeting Friday to
produce IBISCHK701 with BUG208 fixed.

IBISCHK7 source code license:
Bob Ross reported that Dassault had postponed the parser purchase until 2020. A payment
from Mentor may be recorded in the current week. Other payments may appear as late
as January. There may be 8 or 9 purchases in total.

New IBISCHK bugs:

BUG207:
Mike LaBonte noted that Randy Wolff had asked if Bob could identify an existing buffer
model that would fail the check if we used the first resolution approach. Bob said he
had not yet, and he needed to work with Randy on it. He said in Driver_only mode it was
possible to merged Submodel behavior into the main model. There would be difficulty
only with I/O types, and [Model Selector] might be needed.

Mike summarized Randy's proposed IBISCHK change. Bob said it was not a bug. Mike said
IBISCHK had flagged an error for a valid model. Bob said the testcase model was not
valid. Mike showed BUG208. He noted that there were three models in the testcase, and
that the second was the one that Randy felt was valid, but IBISCHK had failed it. Bob
said the model was valid and it had passed IBISCHK. Mike felt a discussion with Randy
was warranted.

Bob showed a Driver Schedule presentation from 2001 and explained some concepts. He
then showed a Submodel presentation from 2010 and explained further. Lance Wang felt
that the presentations were not relevant to the BUG208 case. He said IBISCHK had a
bug because it was failing a valid model. Bob said the Submodel currents could not be
included in the check because Submodels are not on all of the time. Lance said V-T
tables needed to include the effects of Submodels when they were in use, in driving
mode. Bob said Submodel was used for on-die terminators, which could be switched in
and out. Lance asked what an EDA tool could do with a model with different ODTs.
Bob described approaches for extracting the model correctly. We agreed to continue
this discussion, possibly at the DesignCon summit meeting.

IBIS-ISS parser:
Discussion was tabled.

Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Lance Wang seconded. Without objection the meeting ended.

Meeting ended: 12:01 ET
